In-home lactation care

Work directly with Shari in the comfort of your home through personalized in-home lactation consultations. These visits provide hands-on breastfeeding support for families at every stage.

In-home visits are available during pregnancy to prepare for breastfeeding, or after your baby is born for help with common feeding challenges such as:

  • Latching difficulties

  • Low milk supply concerns

  • Bottle feeding

  • Bottle refusal

  • Pumping guidance

  • Weaning support

  • Newborn feeding and weight gain concerns

Virtual lactation consulting

Virtual lactation consultations offer convenient, professional breastfeeding support from anywhere. Online visits are ideal for families who need guidance, quick questions answered, or follow-up care.

A virtual consultation can help with:

  • Preparing to breastfeed during pregnancy

  • Pumping and returning to work

  • Milk supply questions

  • Bottle feeding guidance

  • Breastfeeding positions and latch troubleshooting

  • General infant feeding support

Lactation & infant feeding class

For Highlands Integrated Pediatrics patients only, Shari offers a lactation and infant-feeding education class for expectant and new families.

These classes provide practical, evidence-based guidance on:

  • Preparing to breastfeed

  • Understanding newborn feeding cues

  • Establishing milk supply

  • Pumping basics

  • Common breastfeeding challenges

  • Partner support and postpartum feeding plans

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 AM at HIP. You must be a patient at HIP to attend.
