About Shari

Shari holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work, with specialized training in supporting children, families, and mental health. After becoming a mother herself, she felt called to support other women during the early postpartum period and began working as a postpartum doula, helping families navigate one of life’s most transformative transitions.

In 2011, Shari expanded her work by becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Since then, she has provided professional breastfeeding and infant feeding support in hospital settings, pediatric offices, and private consultations.

Today, Shari works with families virtually, in their homes, and within pediatric practices, ensuring parents have access to compassionate and evidence-based lactation support wherever they need it most.

Her approach combines clinical knowledge with deep empathy. Shari believes every family deserves respectful, nonjudgmental support and works closely with parents to create personalized feeding plans that build confidence and reduce stress during the postpartum period.

For Shari, supporting new families is more than a profession—it is truly her passion. She feels honored to walk alongside parents as they grow into their new roles and navigate the early days of parenthood with guidance, reassurance, and care.

Outside of her work, Shari enjoys spending time with her two college-aged children, hiking and enjoying the sunshine with her husband, and connecting with nature. She has a lifelong love for animals and the outdoors, and when she’s not supporting families, she can often be found exploring trails or enjoying time outside with loved ones.
